     If you are ...

  1. 60 years old or older;
  2. On a limited income;
  3. In good health;
  4. Have time & love to spare.

As a Foster Grandparent, you will give help, attention and love to children who have special needs. You will volunteer 4 hours a day, Monday through Friday, helping children who need extra attention that only you, their foster grandparent, can give. There are no educational requirements to volunteer.

As a Foster Grandparent Volunteer, you will receive many benefits!

  1. A $2.65 non-taxable, hourly stipend
  2. Lunch while volunteering
  3. Paid holidays, vacation & sick leave
  4. A travel allowance
  5. Recognition for service
  6. Accident and liability insurance
  7. Monthly in-service training
  8. ...And the love of some very special children.

The Foster Grandparent Program needs you! To apply today, email us or call the LOA at (540) 985-9600, or Alleghany Highlands at (540) 962-0465.
