LOA News

When I am not able to drive I have no family or friends to ask and to make bad matters worse, I cannot walk very far.  So your giving me transportation makes it possible

to stay in my home and take care of myself.

For this I thank you and bless you."

Vital Services Transportation
Vital Services Transportation is a program available to individuals 60 or older, with low incomes, who have an emergency need for transportation to a doctor, to the pharmacy, grocery store or other critical appointment. We help those who need door to door assistance and who have no other source for transportation or means to pay for transportation. Individuals are transported by volunteers, taxi-cab or van service.

Get Involved!
Volunteer - volunteers enable us to help more people. Drivers are needed who can drive their own vehicle and help seniors get into the car to go to their appointment. Some volunteers will qualify for mileage reimbursement.
Email us or call us at 540-345-0451 if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.

Donate!

Your donation is tax-deductible. Make checks payable to LOA (note to designate funds to transportation). Send donations to P.O. Box 14205, Roanoke, VA 24038-4205.
