As a Foster Grandparent, you will give help, attention and love to children who have special needs. You will volunteer 4 hours a day, Monday through Friday, helping children who need extra attention that only you, their foster grandparent, can give. Volunteers receive a stipend and other benefits.

Senior Companion Program

VICAP

Senior Safety

Volunteers work as a team on individually to install grab bars, smoke detectors and other safety items in senior’s homes.

Mentoring Works/Meals on Wheels Visits

The LOA provides a registered dietician to Meals on Wheels clients at a nutritional risk.  The dietician counsels on such things as high blood pressure, diabetes, low weight and overweight.  Volunteers are needed to give the client more than just nutritional counseling.  Volunteers can enjoy friendly visits with our Meals on Wheels clients who are at a nutritional risk because of loneliness.  Socialization is an important part of mealtime and homebound clients that live alone often do not eat because they do not want to eat alone.  Volunteers are provided their lunch as well.  Lunch is better when shared with a friend!
