The Local Office on Aging will participate in GIVE LOCAL Alleghany Highlands, the online day of giving campaign for nonprofits in Alleghany County, the City of Covington, and the towns of Clifton Forge and Iron Gate on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Join us by donating to LOA – early giving is OPEN NOW! Give at the link below to continue the services that support seniors in our neighboring rural communities, who are often more vulnerable as they can be farther away from the support from family and friends.
Donations to LOA through help provide:
$25 donation gives 3 Meals on Wheels
$50 provides emergency assistance to 25 seniors
$100 gives 12 car rides to doctors’ appointments
$250 provides Health and Wellness programs for 50 people
