Give a senior a well-being check and a friendly face – often the volunteer is the only person they see all day!
Nutritious lunches are delivered to homebound seniors mid-morning each day Monday-Friday.
Volunteers pick up meals from their assigned satellite location and drive their own vehicles to deliver meals to 10-15 seniors.
It takes about 1-2 hours of your time. Volunteers deliver as often as they like: once a week, once a month, etc.
Note: Must have a valid DMV driver’s license and vehicle.

Corporate Volunteers: Your company or group can commit to a set day each week or month to allow employees to leave work to deliver Meals on Wheels. Each business has an in-house coordinator who recruits and schedules employees to deliver on the organization’s assigned day. Interested? Volunteers are trained to provide Health Insurance Counseling by phone or in person by appointment at an LOA location. Answer questions about Medicare, Medicaid, Medigap, long-term care insurance, and assist with understanding medical bills. Volunteers are unbiased, not affiliated with any insurance agency, and are there to guide the older individual to the right plan for them.
Congregate meals programs provide an activity and nutritious lunch to seniors who are not homebound. Diners Clubs meet at various locations on varied days of the week. Volunteers help serve lunch, refill drinks, help with the activity, set up, and take down event decorations.
A Matter of Balance is an evidence-based, award-winning program designed to help older adults reduce the fear of falling and increase physical activity. The program teaches participants to think about the fear of falling as being controllable and set realistic goals to increase activity.
Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention is an enjoyable program that helps to improve muscular strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina. This program is for older adults with mild, moderate, and severe joint involvement and back pain, and who have a higher risk of falling.
Volunteers are trained to lead classes that promote falls prevention methods, exercises, and activity for older adults.
Help sort and tag gifts donated for our seniors and/or deliver gifts to the seniors.
Volunteers are needed to provide a fun or educational program (on a topic of interest to seniors), or an activity (arts and crafts, music, etc.) to a Diners Club group.
